Public Consultation launched on bus information in Aberdeen City.
(07 January 2010)
The information received will be used to inform the preparation of a Bus Information Strategy for Aberdeen in accordance with the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001. This Strategy will describe the level of local bus information that the Council expects to see provided for members of the public and sets out how this should be delivered. The consultation will now run until Monday 15th February and the results will be published on Aberdeen City Council’s website, www.aberdeencity.gov.uk, in March.
Questionnaires are now available online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LGRQRSD and can also be accessed via the Council's website. Paper copies of questionnaires will also be made available in key locations throughout the City, such as local libraries, community centres, Park and Ride sites and at The Point on Broad Street.
This questionnaire seeks the views of the public on such matters as the quality of bus information currently available in Aberdeen, whether there are any locations where members of the public feel they would like to see bus information made available, and if there are any improvements to information provision that could be made that might encourage them to use buses more often.
If you have any questions regarding this consultation, or if you would like a copy of the questionnaire sent to you, please contact Planning and Infrastructure, Enterprise, Planning and Infrastructure, Aberdeen City Council, 9th Floor, St. Nicholas House, Broad Street, Aberdeen AB10 1BW, or telephone (01224) 523324 or email transportstrategy@aberdeencity.gov.uk.
